Through The Eyes Of This Fan
Fillmore Poster Contest A few months ago I entered a contest on the official Johnny Cash web site. It was a essay contest of a hundred words or less on "What Johnny Cash Means To Me" The Winner would receive a Johnny Cash signed Autographed Filmore Poster. Well I didn't win LOL, never the less at this time I want to congratulate the winner of the contest and to say it was well desevred, and a great job on the essay. I also want to thank all of the contest entries, they where also really great, also I want to thank the Johnny Cash Web Site and all the Judges. they all did a great Job. My essay was posted on the Johnny Cash Web Site as a close runner up to the winning entry, and for this I was really grateful and was really surprised to even come that close to winning. Some of my friends have asked me post my essay on this web site, so here it is guy’s, I hope you like it. I would have liked to have post all of the winners, but I didn't have the rights to their Essays. Steven Menke What Johnny Cash Means To MeA Hero, A Troubadour, as I sometimes called him a ( Strolling Minstrel ) Johnny Cash strolled through my school years, girl friends, military and marriage. Also strolling through my happy times and in sad times and oh yes wild times, Yes! Johnny Cash was always there strolling through my life singing his songs, on the radio, television, movies, and at concerts. Johnny Cash has always meant the world to me.
